The Fairbanks Compost Collective is excited to offer residential collection as part of our pilot organic collection program. Please fill out the form below to sign up. Summer sign ups are available on a rolling basis, fill out the form below to select the service option you want. You will not be invoiced until service offerings are confirmed.
Curbside Collection
Do it the easy way! We provide you with a collection bucket(s) and lid(s). You and your family collect your organic waste and we come by on a regular schedule to take it off your hands. We replace your bucket(s) with a clean one(s) and head off to our site where the magic happens. We give you the option to decide how many buckets you want and how often we come to pick it up.

Drop-Off
Want to save a few bucks? Save us the drive and drop off your bucket at one of our convenient collection hubs in town. You’ll have a five day window each week to drop off your bucket at the hub you choose. We’ll have clean bucket(s) there for you to grab and take home to keep collecting. Check out the available locations and times below:

Drop Off Times:
Sundays - Wednesdays 9 am - 7pm
Thursdays 9am-12pm
Drop off not available starting Thursdays at noon until the following Sunday
You will be notified before the start of service if the hub you selected is not going to be available and given other service options.
Pricing:
Hub membership is $18 month
We offer a limited number of need-based reduced price memberships sponsored by donations.

Can I use a compostable bag? No. Certain bags only break down in industrial scale piles and/or contain certain chemicals we hope to avoid in our finished product. In the future, we plan to select a brand of approved compostable bags to offer to our customers if they want them but do not have that worked out yet.
